  • Remote/Hybrid position DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Center for Clinical Excellence is an innovative approach to the strategic management of quality, safety and service within UW Medical Center. Our core purpose is to be the catalyst for advancing world-class quality, safety, and service in healthcare. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Provides leadership and support for the Medical Center’s peer review process

  • Provides Patient Safety and QI case reviews

  • Remote/Hybrid opportunity PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using the medical record, performs clinical data abstraction and review related to mortalities

  • Creates and runs the bi-weekly mortality report and other reports

  • Coordinates the mortality review process and presents finding to the Medical Quality Improvement Committee

  • Conducts patient safety and other QI case reviews as requested REQUIREMENTS

  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington required by start date

  • At least 5 years of nursing experience to include inpatient critical care nursing experience AND at least 3 years of nursing experience in an academic medical center
