Quality Engineer

Winnebago Towables has an immediate need for an experienced candidate to fill the role of <strong>Quality Engineer, Product Support. </strong>The Quality Engineer, Product Support will work with Quality and Product Management to develop, implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) and processes for the Towable business segment that relate to Warranty reduction, Design engineering, Customer issues, Supplier quality and Compliance. This position is based in Middlebury, Indiana. (We are not providing H1B sponsorship for this Quality Engineer role currently.)<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Review customer warranty claim information, facilitate product team warranty reduction activities, perform root cause analysis, recommend product/process changes, drive action on cross-product warranty issues and standardize processes.</li><li>Partner with Service and Product Development to monitor customer and dealer feedback and drive corrective actions.</li><li>Facilitate Supplier, Internal and Regulatory audits; communicate results; complete problem-solving and corrective actions for nonconformance.</li><li>Create Process Flows, Work Instructions and controlled documentation as needed.</li><li>Complete risk analysis and create control plans.</li></ul><br><strong>Education and Experience:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of relevant experience required.</li><li>Strong understanding of QMS tools required.</li><li>RV industry background a plus.</li><li>Understanding of ASQ and RVIA standards preferred.</li><li>Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement required.</li><li>Excellent computer literacy including intermediate Excel skills.</li><li>Up to 20% travel to company and supplier locations.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude is required.</li><li>Project Management experience required.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary.</li><li>Ability to build strong customer and supplier relationships.</li><li>Extensive problem solving, conflict resolution and team building skills required.</li></ul>
