The Senior Sales Manager - Agriculture is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Regional Sales Managers to identify, influence, and close opportunities to achieve sales targets. This role encompasses ownership of both team and individual sales targets and will involve a 'player/coach' approach. Additionally, the Senior Sales Manager - Agriculture will interact with the Marketing team to develop campaigns that drive growth across the entire vertical market.

This position is part of the McCrometer Sales Team located in Hemet, CA and will be a remote position.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • With a focus on Agriculture market, this role develops, and executes sales strategy that results in revenue growth in region, and adhere to corporate sales strategy, methodology, and policies.

  • Own the annual booking and shipping targets for the Agriculture vertical market for McCrometer

  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and works to establish sales targets and the overall sales strategy within the agriculture market.

  • Coaches and motivates team to achieve sales targets

  • Actively utilize and updates the CRM system (SFDC) with accurate data to effectively manage the funnel of opportunities.

  • Prepares sales reports and sales forecasts from a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • BS or BA in Business, Marketing, Engineering.

  • 5+ years outside sales.

  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.

  • Experience devising and implementing successful territory strategy leading to revenue growth.

  • Experience in developing sales teams (training/recruiting/coaching).

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality.

  • Ability to present complex or difficult messages clearly and persuasively.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously.

It would be a plus if you also possess :

  • MBA is preferred.

  • Previous people leadership experience.

  • Experience in the agricultural business.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus / Commission Pay.
