JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryThe Psychologist Ph.D position administers, evaluates and interprets psychological testing; creates, monitors and coordinates behavior management plans with the clinical team.Job DutiesThe essential functions of this job are identified with an asterisk (*) at the end of the bullet point.Provides care for the mental health of the Mille Lacs Health System area community, collects and analyzes behavioral data for residents/patients and presents results to clinical leadership.*Reviews service delivery and considers individual and group sessions as indicated. *Administers, evaluates and interprets required psychological testing as requested by referring provider for children, adult and geriatric patients on a case by case basis.*Counsels individuals and families in a safe environment.*Reports abuse and neglect to appropriate agencies in compliance with state/county and local regulations.*Documents progress/data in Medical Record utilizing objective, measurable methods on a timely basis, keeping medical records and billing current.*Creates psychological testing report as indicated to be included as part of a patient's care plan. Ensures report is included in Medical Record within two weeks of testing.*Consults with clinical team and referring physicians and participates with the clinical team meetings for care plan formulation and reviews.*Refers patients to professional when care is beyond the scope of the position.*Submits service activity logs and schedules when requested to clinical leadership quarterly.Participates in peer review, quality initiatives and supervision as assigned.Required Education and ExperienceA PhD or PsyD in psychology from an accredited college or university.Current unrestricted license as Clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in the state of Minnesota.Two to three years of experience counseling individuals and/or families.Clinic experience in a rural health setting is preferred.
