Position Overview
Our Psychiatrists are responsible for providing psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients at clinical sites at which the psychiatrist is assigned. The psychiatrist is expected to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, treating patients with eating disorders and related or comorbid psychiatric conditions. The psychiatrist will serve patients in a gender-inclusive environment of all ages and across multiple levels of care. Further, the psychiatrist shall serve as a resource to the medical and behavioral treatment teams around best-practice psychiatric care.
Schedule
  • Option to be 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week) at our Outpatient location or 0.75-0.8 FTE (30-32 hours/week) at our Residential location
  • Both positions have on call responsibilities
How Psychiatrists Empower Recovery
As a Psychiatrist you will be responsible for providing direct client service, including individual, group, or family psychotherapy.
  • Work with other Emily Program clinicians (therapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and/or dietitians) in providing comprehensive treatment to the client and their family.
  • Conduct client assessments and from assessment findings develops, implement, coordinate services, and monitor and evaluate individualized treatment plans for those clients assigned to your caseload
  • Evaluate and assess clients’ needs or options for medication management, prescribe medications, and monitor regularly
  • Conduct assigned group counseling sessions
  • Participate in client case conferences.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • BC/BE in Psychiatry
  • Possession of a current medical license in the state of OH
  • Current unrestricted DEA license
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry
  • Two or more years of previous independent practice, with an emphasis in complex psychiatric settings, to include experience with eating disorder patients
