<b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b> <br> <br> Wood is currently recruiting for a <strong>Project Manager</strong> with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing small Cap facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of that plant's capital project's group.<br> <ul> <li>Permanent Full Time Position with opportunities for Overtime</li> <li>Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.</li> <li>No Paid Relocation for this position</li> </ul> <br> <br> <b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b> <br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Meet or exceed the company's safety standards</li> <li>Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and others you may impact <ul> <li>Set the standard for safety for contractor and Sub Contractor Project Resources </li> <li>Meet company requirements for review of company safety communications</li> <li>Apply process safety requirements as an integral part of daily work <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to improve HSE and specify for process owners</li> </ul></li> </ul></li> <li>General <ul> <li>Holds responsibility for execution of projects from Scope development through Close out</li> <li>Is responsible for applying sound engineering practices</li> <li>Provide documentation as needed for each assigned project</li> <li>Provides guidance to the project team to successfully accomplish the scope of work</li> <li>Project Updates <ul> <li>Meetings as required to keep process owners informed about progress</li> <li>Communications to update stakeholders on progress and project health</li> </ul></li> </ul></li> <li>Project Execution <ul> <li>Scope Development <ul> <li>Translate Process Letters and stakeholders to create defined project scopes </li> <li>Develop project execution plans and schedules</li> <li>Determine what resources are needed for project execution</li> </ul></li> <li>Financial <ul> <li>Cost Estimating for projects from Pre-Engineering through Full Funding</li> <li>Responsible for creating Appropriations Requests and following through approvals</li> </ul></li> <li>Execution <ul> <li>Maintains and tracks scope, schedule, cost, and quality trends throughout the project</li> <li>Responsible for Cost and Change Management <ul> <li> Maintain proper communication with process owners about changes</li> <li>Obtain Approvals for spending related to changes during execution</li> </ul></li> <li>Responsible for Project completion including quality of deliverables</li> </ul></li> <li>Closeout <ul> <li>Provide documentation for equipment installed on projects for SAP and File Room</li> <li>Issue completion notices on time to maintain compliance</li> </ul></li> </ul></li> </ul> <br> <br> <b>QUALIFICATIONS</b> <br> <br> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is desired <ul> <li>Experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility may be accepted in lieu of education</li> <li>5-10 years of Industrial Experience working as a project engineer or project manager </li> </ul></li> <li>Ability to quickly comprehend the scope of work for a project <ul> <li>A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done</li> </ul></li> <li>Work Environment</li> <li>Able to wear required PPE</li> <li>Operate Vehicles safely to & from job-sites </li> <li>Climb Ladders and Stairs</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook</li> <li>Proficiency in SAP a plus</li> </ul><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjgxMjI3LjEyNTI0QHdvb2RwbGNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
