Position: Program Support Specialist

Supervised by: Program Manager & Director

Department: Housing Stability

Classification: Regular Full Time

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Pendleton Main Office

Salary: $3,634/month

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Program Support Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including program coordination, data management, and communication with program participants. You will also assist in the development and implementation of program classes and provide support to program staff. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for helping others.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate program classes, including scheduling, logistics, and participant communication

Prepare and submit invoices and reports

Prepares and maintains accurate client files, that requires retention of supporting documentation

Responds to incoming calls, messages and walk-in clients who may be seeking assistance.

Create and/or update forms and correspondence

Conducts detailed confidential intake and eligibility assessments

Enters information into tracking system and agency database

Coordinates and collaborates with area partners and possesses knowledge of services they offer in order to make appropriate referrals and maintain a resource directory

Collaborate with internal staff to ensure program goals are met and resources are effectively utilized

Attend meetings, classes, training and outreach events as needed

Performs general support to the housing staff

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree in related field which can be substituted for two years of comparable experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Computer experience and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders and filing cabinets.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass a criminal history background investigation however, a conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from this position.

Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record is required.
