The individual in this full-time position is at the EARS licensed Specialized Services Unit. S/he will be responsible to assure that client’s Individual Support Plans (ISP) are implemented and that SSU/ATF participants are engaged in value enhanced activities that support each person’s dignity and self-worth.
- Will assist Client Service Manager and Program Specialist in designing a daily program.
- Will plan and implement daily training programs using activities as developed by Client Service Manager and Program Specialist..
- Supervises clients during their lunch breaks.
- Will provide personal care to include, but not limited to, feeding, assistance with toileting, walking, etc.
- Offers assistance to clients needing help to board/debark vans and other transportation services.
- Offers first aid assistance to clients as needed.
- Treat injuries (First Aid) and arrange transportation of sick or injured participants to appropriate medical care.
- Follow EARS Incident Reporting policy and cooperate fully with investigations following such reports.
- Plan & implement appropriate community integration opportunities for individuals.
- Follow EARS program policies and procedures, including use of approved forms and record-keeping procedures and meet 2380 and Title 55 Chapter 51 & 52 requirements in regard to participant records.
- Attend regular meetings with supervisor and SSU team meetings.
- Maintain all required certifications (fire safety, med. administration, First Aid, CPR).
- Complete at least 24 hours of training annually in matters relevant to position.
Requirements:Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
Employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
