Summary:
Reporting directly to the Manager of Clinical Quality, this position is the regional clinical resource rounding on practice sites to assess best practice in regulatory standards and quality and safety initiatives. This role is responsible for implementing policies and processes that assess, train and drive clinical competence and positive patient outcomes. Oversees a continuous process of assessing needs in the region and works to set priorities and develop plans to close gaps. This is an autonomous nursing role requiring collaboration with individual practice sites in both the assigned ministries and with stakeholders from other ministries.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Quality , CCMS, this position leads quality intitiatives to drive improvements in medical practices in an assigned region.
Conducts in-person environment of care rounding to medical practice sites assessing clinical quality and regulatory compliance
Identifies practice gaps that may limit our achievement of quailty and safety goals and develops action plans in conjunction with quality and operational leadership
Manages and measures performance improvements
Manages process improvement projects as delegated
Travel of up to 50% required (Day travel primarily, rare overnight travel)
In conjunction with other appropriate stakeholders:
Develops and facilitates Clinical Education programs both in-person and virtually
Monitors clinical staff compliance/competence with best practices
Assist with the development of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements:
Graduated from an accredited LVN/LPN nursing school
Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience
Previous medical practice experience in a quality or lead clinical role
Experience as clinical educator and process improvement experience a plus
Basic proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to conduct online research autonomously
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to take direction and work autonomously to deliver results
Licensed Practical Nurse in Texas and/or Louisiana
