This full-time position will be responsible to assist Vocational Unit adults with ID with work duties as assigned and are engaged in value enhancing activities that support each person’s dignity and self worth.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Production Supervision

- Will assist Production Manager in making work assignments.

- Will assist in the setting up of work stations, so that the most efficient production procedure can be used.

- Will instruct client in the production procedure for each job and as needed refer client for additional training.

- Will monitor clients during production process to assure correct production procedures and make corrections as needed.

- Will employ accepted quality control techniques to insure that completed work meets industrial standards.

- Will assist in correction of incomplete or defective work.

- Is responsible to the allocation, distribution of materials to assigned clients.

- Responsible for recording each assigned client’s daily production.

- Is responsible for final check and packing, if necessary, of completed work.

2. Client Support

- Will motivate clients to work to their potential.

- Will present an appropriate work related role model to the client.

- Will provide support to clients with personal behavior related issues.

- Will be responsible for supervising clients during lunch and break times.

- Responsible to attending a minimum of 24 hour professional development.

- Maintain daily contact with EARS, Inc. for coordination, supervision and implementation of the program policies.

- Will provide supports for Community Participation.


Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
