Position:                            Production Foreman

Reports To:                        Plant Superintendent

 Principle

Responsibilities:         To ensure a safe, and efficient work environment while maintaining quality standards and the execution of daily production goals, and schedules

 

Routine Activities Include:

  1.       Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

2.       Notify appropriate management of work injuries, preform incident or accident investigations, and complete appropriate reports.

3.       Troubleshoot operational and equipment problems to improve quality and efficiency

4.       Effectively directs hourly workforce using leadership skills to meet production goals and objectives. Issues discipline as required

5.       Supervises staff, including training and motivating employees; assigning and reviewing work; establishing and monitoring employee performance objectives; preparing and presenting employee performance evaluations; counseling employees on job performance; and making recommendations regarding hiring, terminating, and disciplining employees

6.       Plan, implement, and monitor plant activities to achieve continuous improvement

7.       Serves as the leader for their assigned production department and provides supervision and guidance to their departmental supervisors

8.       Prior experience with operating tools and equipment such as table saw, staple gun, air tools, drills, nail guns, skill saw, chop saw and drill press

9.       Take an active role to ensure that regulatory obligations and standards are met

10.    Demonstrate leadership in safety through conversations and leading by example

11.    Conduct regular safety meetings

12.    Ensure that all work areas are kept safe and clean condition

13.    Identify and quickly resolve process problems

14.    Communicate across departments to ensure effective shift to shift planning

15.    Must be able to read and understand shop drawings and manufacturing procedures and be experienced in the use of typical shop equipment and tools – will train right candidate

16.    Organizes work area and work effort to improve productivity

17.    Adapts to change when unforeseen conditions require  adjustments to work plan and schedule

18.    Proactively catches and eliminates quality issues before they impact schedule

19.    High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree

20.    Mandatory Overtime Required

 

Minimum Requirements:

●        Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment

●        High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree.

●        Supervisory experience required

●        A strong team player is necessary with the ability to coordinate efforts of many individuals internal and external to the organization

●        Sound decision-making ability, computational, and analytical skills

●        Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

●        Bilingual strongly preferred

$28-$37 DOE

Hours:

                 As needed = 5:00am to 5:00pm (or until production finishes)

                 Standard = 7:00am to 5:00pm (or until production finishes)
