Daily production/assembly responsibilities of in-house manufactured products. Responsible for effective use of resources to produce goods that meet or exceed customer expectations measured by delivery, quality and cost.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fabrication

  • May participate in any of the production of manufactured product through laser, turret, shear, cutoff, form, punch, press brake, or weld while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Maintain interdepartmental communication to ensure work flow and collaboration with other team members.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives in the Fabrication Department including identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Follows documentation of each fabrication process, keeping current work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Assembly

  • May participate in any of the Assembly department duties of assembling a variety of manufactured product while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Maintain interdepartmental communication to ensure work flow and collaboration with other team members.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives in the Assembly Department including identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Follows documentation of each Assembly process, keeping current work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety procedures.


Paint

  • May participate in any of the painting department duties of painting manufactured product while ensuring quality and safety
  • Maintain interdepartmental communication to ensure work flow and collaboration with other team members.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives in the Paint Department including identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Follows documentation of each painting process, keeping current work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety procedures. .
Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience:

  • One to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in specified department is highly preferred.

  • Ability to use measurement devices such as tape measures, calipers, or other quality checking devices.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information, technical procedures, and safety regulations. Ability to read, understand and write reports. Effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and supervisors/managers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.

Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to use and understand internal software. Not limited to programs and applications including work processing, Spreadsheet, inventory control, manufacturing, communication and internet.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical Activities include: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing for significant periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking or pinching, grasping, perceive attributes of objects, conveys with other workers, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Physical Requirements heavy work; exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Duties are occasionally performed under conditions such as dust, dirt, heat, cold, and fumes. Duties are frequently performed under noisy conditions. There is occasional exposure to cuts and abrasions. Observation Acuity standard is the minimum for machine operators; where the inspection of the job is at or within an arm’s reach
