To learn more, please visit https://ubiqd.com and https://ubigro.com.<br><br><strong>Job Description: </strong>We are seeking a motivated and industry experienced Engineer with experience in electrical design and/or manufacturing to support solar window manufacturing, scale-up, control electronics and grid integration. A successful applicant will be results-oriented, have a strong understanding in photovoltaic electrical design, grid integration, dc microgrids, microelectronics design, and window manufacturing. This role will focus on furthering product development on UbiQD's solar windows (WENDOW), specifically on improving photoconversion efficiency and grid integration. This position also involves periodically presenting technical progress to the team and broader communities, as well as interacting with third party partners to establish and manage manufacturing supply chains. UbiQD is a rapidly growing company and applicants must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high energy environment where individuals are expected to shoulder broad responsibilities and sometimes work independently. Requires working on-site in Los Alamos, NM. <br><br><strong>Job Requirements</strong><br>&bull; BS or MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or related field<br>&bull; Experience with safely working in a chemistry lab and/or manufacturing floor setting<br>&bull; Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br>&bull; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision <br>&bull; Ability to organize/analyze data and draw conclusions from technical data <br>&bull; Strong scientific record keeping abilities and attention to detail <br>&bull; Residence in or re-location close to Los Alamos, NM<br>&bull; Be eligible to work in the USA and over the age of 18<br><br><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong><br>&bull; Electrical design experience (photovoltaic arrays, sensors, PCB design, wireless communication, grid integration, etc)<br>&bull; 2+ years industry experience in solar, electronics, and/or fenestration <br>&bull; Experience in PV electrical design (grid-direct, stand-alone, etc)<br>&bull; Engineering software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc)<br>&bull; Scale-up manufacturing experience<br>&bull; Project management experience<br><br><strong>Note: </strong>Applicants should be aware that working at a high growth technology company may involve a greater degree of risk than working at a larger established company.
