Basic Qualifications:<br><br>Associate Degree (/Electronic/Electrical/Engineering Technology or equivalent)<br><br>Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US<br><br>Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (PP, Word, Excel)<br><br>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br>Experience working in manufacturing of electrical products<br><br>Able to conceptualize steps required with large data to achieve a certain outcome/result<br><br>Experience working as quality control technician or related fields<br><br>Basic knowledge of MINITAB software or equivalent statistic software tool<br><br>Previous experience in first article inspection validation<br><br>Job: Quality Control Technician<br><br>Typical Reporting Line:<br><br>Quality Control Manager (or) Local Quality Manager Job Ref: F002030. Version A<br><br>Mission Statement:<br><br>Act with safety, efficiency, quality and productivity to assure that products and systems <br><br>meet stated requirements. Employs standard test protocols and applies specifications to <br><br>ensure quality.<br><br>Main Accountabilities:<br><br>1. Test Capability Conducts test protocols as assigned to ensure the products and <br><br>systems that are created by the local organization meet <br><br>specified requirements and customer expectations. Provides <br><br>support to other functional teams as needed to perform test <br><br>protocols. Ensures data are available according to ABB QO <br><br>guidelines.<br><br>2. Safety Utilizes safety systems to perform work, resulting in an <br><br>accident-free workplace. Notifies others when unsafe situations <br><br>are observed and works with local HSE teams to improve the <br><br>safety systems.<br><br>3. Quality Control Works with department staff to improve existing test protocols <br><br>and capability, resulting in greater efficiency, accuracy, and/or <br><br>reliability of test outcomes.<br><br>4. Utilize data Evaluates quantitative metrics that provide descriptive data for <br><br>the determination of compliance to requirements.<br><br>5. Process Assurance Trains Operators/Assemblers in basic quality test routines to <br><br>support quality-at-source processes, and verifies quality assurance testing performed as a part of the value creation process.
