Mendocino Community Health Center, Inc. (MCHC) is currently seeking a Physician (MD/DO) to join our primary care team. Our definition of primary care includes health equity, mental well-being, prevention, and social factors. MCHC provides comprehensive services for the communities of Mendocino and Lake Counties that include primary care, dental, behavioral health, women's services, and specialty care services. Highlights of being a Provider at MCHC:

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of valid license issued by the Osteopathic Medical Board or Medical Board of California to practice medicine.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Board of Internal Medicine
  • Current BLS certification

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual, English/Spanish

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Talking and listening on the telephone, writing, reading, and communicating one-on-one: 60 % of time sitting, 20% of time walking, 20% of time standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels).
  • Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.
  • Must have vision that is adequate to read memos, registration forms and other clinic documents. Work includes some periods of time viewing computer monitor.
  • Must have high manual dexterity. Some repetitive hand and wrist motions. Work includes some operation of computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to walk, bend, squat, sit for periods of up to 2 hours at a time, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn, finger, grasp and feel.
