Prefabrication Shop Lead

Prefabrication Shop Lead will run the day-to-day operations of the prefabrication shop and consistently work to add to the department's success. Perform duties such as leading the prefabrication assembly workforce, coordinating, and scheduling deliveries with Site Supervisors, and communicating prefabrication means and methods with project leadership. Supervise the completion and work of all those in the prefabrication shop, escalating any performance, attendance, conduct, or similar issues up to direct supervisor for resolution. Additional duties include working with colleagues in a team environment, developing content that supports branch/department efforts, tracking documentation, investigating problems to come up with solutions, and any other tasks necessary to build and grow Preconstruction Services. All business interactions must be conducted in accordance with CarolinaPower's mission, vision, and values.<br> <br> <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong> <br> <br>Prefabrication Shop:<br> <br>- Assist with production in the shop to ensure the quality and timely delivery of products.<br>- Create task specific Bill of Materials (BOMs) for prefabricated products<br>- Receive, inventory, organize, store, and handle large quantities of building materials.<br>- Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) checks that maintain and improve standards for the construction of prefabricated products.<br>- Safely load and unload trucks by hand or with equipment.<br>- Packaging and palletizing products while maintaining strict adherence to quality guidelines.<br>- Keep the shop clean and free of clutter and hazards.<br>- Keep track of storage and maintenance for prefabrication tools and equipment. <br> <br>Workstation Responsibilities:<br> <br>- Read and understand any assembly instructions, worksheets, or drawings provided.<br>- Select materials from the shop's inventory and assemble components per drawings. <br>- Use small hand tools and power tools while passing that knowledge on to other colleagues in the shop.<br>- Measure, cut, bend, paint, and label components per design drawings. <br>- Ensure workstations are clean, organized, free of clutter and hazards and stocked with all necessary materials and tools.<br>- Provide a positive example to other employees by working safely, productively and staying on-task.<br> <br>Other:<br> <br>- Identify waste and recommend elimination methods.<br>- Recommend continuous process improvement strategies. <br>- Perform other tasks as directed by the Production Manager.<img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjAyNDgyLjEyNTI0QHBwY3BhcnRuZXJzaW5jY29tcC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif">
