<b>Location: </b> Lone Tree, CO<br> <b>Salary: </b> $50.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly<br> <b>Description: </b> <b>Our client is currently seeking a PostgreSQL Admin</b> <br>As a Platform Integration data engineer, you will be part of a highly engaged, high-performing team of reliability engineers who support critical systems and applications across development, QA, UAT, and production environments. There will be a continual focus on developing tools, automating processes, and creating monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and remediate system issues. You will work closely with business partners, development teams, infrastructure teams, and colleagues across the organization to continuously improve our products, processes, and availability, leveraging your passion for innovative IT solutions and a modern vision of DevOps culture. <br> <br>The Platform Integration organization contains three teams that specialize in one of the following areas: database support, IT asset management, or DevOps. This role is on the database support team which requires some exposure to database administration task, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Our organization supports SQL Server, Oracle, and has recently adopted PostgreSQL. This role will be responsible for helping establish and maintain PostgreSQL database standards and provide administrative support in primarily non-production environments. This is an individual contributor role requiring a deep knowledge of infrastructure support, database administration, system configuration, and the creation and maintenance of code deployment pipelines. You are a change agent who seeks and creates opportunity for continuous improvement and transforming the teams from traditional support to DevOps. The position requires a strong teamwork mindset coupled with demonstrated excellence in leading technical teams with an affinity for leveraging tooling and automation to achieve maximum process reliability. Additionally, a continuous focus on collaboration and coordination efforts with related departments and stakeholders will strengthen our partnerships and will drive positive change.<br> <br> <ul> </ul> <b>Qualifications & Requirements:</b> <ul> <li>3-5 years of progressive experience supporting software deployment pipelines, database administration related tasks, and system configuration. </li> <li>Experienced in motivating change through automation, and passionate about adopting and driving a DevOps model. </li> <li>Responsibility for applications support primarily in lower (non-production) environments.</li> <li>Experience with setting, implementing, and reporting on operational critical metrics. Experience in planning, implementation, and support of business application components, including release management and release engineering. </li> <li>Broad and deep knowledge of IT/software technology trends, infrastructure support, application development, public cloud, web services, middleware, operating systems, databases, networking, security, and business intelligence. </li> <li>Agile methodologies and partnering with Agile development teams. Skilled at process design and improvement. </li> <li>Ability to grasp difficult concepts, large architectures, and sophisticated designs quickly.</li> <li>Bachelor&apos;s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience. </li> <li>Excellent communication skills in technical and non-technical areas. <br> <br> <b>Preferred Skills:</b> <br></li> <li>Atlassian suite (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence, Bamboo). Using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Atlassian tools, TFS, and Remedy.</li> <li>Has worked with cloud-based service models. Experience with PaaS such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF). </li> <li>ITIL proficiency using problem management standard methodologies. </li> <li>Database administration skillset to establish data backup and recovery procedures, monitoring, query optimization tasks, and the ability assess data needs for server sizing requirements. </li> <li>Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and GCP database platforms. </li> <li>Experience with PostgreSQL administration and development. </li> <li>Experience with SQL Server and Oracle performing DBA tasks and migrating data. </li> <li>Splunk, App Dynamics, Linux & Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.</li> <li>Experience supporting vendors and SaaS application platforms. </li> <li>Experience working in financial or banking industry.<br></li> </ul> <br> <b>Contact:</b> nthongkham@judge.com<br> <br>This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
