The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the manufacturing plant from coordination to overall production. The Plant Manager's duties include managing day-to-day operations, maintaining plant equipment, and developing strategies to optimize plant performance.

The Plant Manager will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead overall plant operations alongside a dedicated team to successfully meet production targets, while maintaining an outstanding level of safety and quality of diverse product lines
  • Take ownership of facility; continuously improve operational methods and meet production standards and cost parameters
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to plant employees
  • Control costs and monitor financials to meet budget
  • Review production and operating reports and collaboratively resolve production and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Focus on problem-solving and prioritize production issues/challenges
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities and develop timely schedules to ensure production and quality products meet specifications
  • Ensure the operational performance of machines, equipment, and new product integration
  • Oversee the maintenance of the building, equipment, and security
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in an engaged and collaborative culture
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications

  • Several years' manufacturing management/leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required
  • Strong operational delivery, business acumen, people leadership and change management competencies
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and influence and champion change within a respectful, values-driven culture
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for exhibiting optimism, providing vision, mentorship and inspiration to peers and direct reports
  • Profit/Loss experience is required
