Job Summary:
Centracore is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team at our facility in St. Clair, MI. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on process improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day production activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
- Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and maintenance, to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with management, providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of 10 years of experience in Production management or Supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Metal Machining and Turning
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in leveraging production management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field a bonus but not at all expected.
