This is how you will grow :

This position is responsible for various assigned projects concerning development, design, construction, and/or installation of electrical systems within the manufacturing facility.

  • Coordinate electrical design and construction of buildings and facilities
  • Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine the simplest, most efficient and cost effective approach to solving engineering tasks.
  • Develop specification, scope of work, and bid documents for electrical projects.
  • Assist Purchasing with bidder lists and bid reviews by providing relevant, consolidated data to support the decision-making process.
  • Review, check and inspect vendor designs and electrical plans to ensure adherence quality standards. (50%)
  • Perform necessary fieldwork to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide construction support.
  • Responsible to coordinate contractor onsite work and provide clear direction regarding requirements and standards as it pertains to facility infrastructure projects. Ensure documentation and CAD standards are followed by contractors.
  • Coordinate with public utility providers to provide clear direction related to utility infrastructure projects Develop and track project schedules and costs. (30%)
  • Develop and maintain procedures for all existing building and grounds in collaboration with the Facilities department.
  • Perform lifecycle analysis and develop long-term plans accordingly.
  • Provide environmental support to the Facilities department as required to maintain benchmark status.
  • Lead and control budgets for electrical engineering planning.


Requirements:

  • This position requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 plus years of experience in an Engineering function within an automotive manufacturing setting management, equipment planning and process planning.
  • Solid understanding of industrial power system protection, control and power monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of national electrical code (NEC) and standard for electrial safety in the workplace (NFPA 70E).
  • Solid understanding of commercial and industrial lighting systems.
  • Solid understanding of facility scope development and costing
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate facilitation and project management skills.
