Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at St. Vincent's Medical Center. The PT will administer medical Physical Therapy treatments to patients, evaluate patient's level of function, determine treatment strategies, establish measurable goals, and provide patient and caregiver education. The role also involves participating in patient transition planning, delegating patient care tasks, and providing clinical supervision for support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
- Acute Care experience preferred
- Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
- Must be flexible and a team player
- Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of State Practice Act and Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates competence to meet age-specific patients' needs
- Maintains infection control policies
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Able to adapt to a changing environment
