Job Description
This is a clinical and administrative position involving provision of comprehensive pharmacy services and overall supervision of pharmacy services at a PMS primary care clinic and includes management, distributive, consulting, and cognitive services. Such services are provided in accordance with current laws, regulations, and professional standards, as well as PMS policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in pharmacy practice as a licensed Pharmacist preferred.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • New Mexico Board of Pharmacy license required. Must have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment.
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification in Pharmacotherapy preferred.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:
If assigned to the Checkerboard Area Health System, this position requires successful completion of an initial post-offer of employment:
  • According to PMS Human Resources Policy 205.006, "Healthcare Personnel Testing & Immunization Requirements," this position must comply with required testing and immunizations. Testing and immunizations including TB, Hepatitis B (consent or waiver), Tdap, MMR, and Varicella, will be available at the employee's PMS health center. Influenza vaccines will be required according to dates set by the CDC and NMDOH.
