Are you a compassionate and dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with a strong passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families? Our second location, near the San Francisco airport is seeking a part-time (with potential to grow to full time) Occupational Therapist with experience in sensory integration training to join our dynamic team.

Come play with us!  Development is Child's Play is an established and award winning pediatric therapy clinic, specializing in sensory integration, that has been in Cupertino for over 30 years and has now expanded to a second location in Burlingame. Services are provided for individuals with sensory processing disorders, delays in development, or motor coordination difficulties that may contribute to problems in motor skills and daily living tasks including eating, playing, sleeping, dressing, toileting, behavioral and emotional responses, and speech / communication, learning, or social interactions.

We serve children primarily 2-12 years of age. We also work with infants through young adulthood needing our services. We have an exciting opportunity for an occupational therapist who desires to help us better serve our pediatric clients and their families as part of a team that values individualized, play-based, child led therapy. 

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental and sensory needs and design customized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to address sensory integration, motor and social emotional challenges and promote functional independence in daily activities.
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • California state licensure and NBCOT registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Specialized training in sensory integration techniques preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a pediatric setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
