Qualification Highlights
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft office products.
- Must be organized and professional.
- Perform complete payroll process for business unit, entity or unassigned field payrolls and performs mathematical calculations for withholdings and deductions, vacation, sick leave, retroactive pay, overtime, etc
- Perform payroll entry and edits to release timecards to payroll system
- Record and deduct mandatory child support payments, Internal Revenue Service levies and other authorized wage garnishments
- Complete wage statements for employment commission(s), workers compensation insurance companies and other local, state and federal government agencies
- Process payroll corrections and special payments
- Responsible for all physical mail
- Provide good customer service for all in person inquiries, emails and phone calls
- Organizes and maintains files of records and correspondence of both a routine and confidential nature
- Assisting department with daily processes after payrolls are completed
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of clerical experiences is required.
- Must have a strong focus on customer service, accuracy, good verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning
- Excellent work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on most projects or tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong proof-reading skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with shifting priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Personal computer proficiency, experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; candidates may be tested for computer proficiency.
- Must have a current valid driver's license.
- Have reliable transportation and be able to work 5+ days a week or as needed including weekends and holidays
- Must be available for on call after hours and weekend rotation
- Must be able to meet all physical demands and pre-employment conditions, to include a criminal background check, motor vehicle check and drug screen.
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.
- Preferred candidate will have previous experience in a payroll, clerical or administrative position.
- 3-5 years related experience
- Experience working in SAP, ADP, Oracle payroll systems.
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required
- Formal/Technical education.
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of sitting and working on a computer.
- Position may occasionally be required to spend time on the construction site and will need to have the ability to walk and climb various outdoor conditions.
- Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment.
