Provides accountable oversight of administrative, finance systems, processes, procedures and projects. A high degree of confidentiality is required. We proudly offer outpatient health services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Gouverneur, Massena, Norfolk, and Potsdam, NY.<br> <br> <strong>STATUS: </strong>Full Time<br> <br> <strong>LOCATION: </strong>Canton Potsdam Hospital, Massena Hospital, and Gouverneur Hospital<br> <br> <strong>DEPARTMENT:</strong> Patient Financial Services<br> <br> <strong>SCHEDULE: </strong>8hr, Variable Shifts<br> <br> <strong>ATTRIBUTES</strong> <br> <br>Education/Certification:<ul> <li>Required: High School Diploma and 3 years of experience in Revenue Cycle. </li> <li>Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration </li></ul> <br>Work Experience:<ul> <li>Required: 3 years working in Health Care Revenue Cycle. </li> <li>Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; demonstrated ability to type with high accuracy and grammatically correct. </li></ul> <br>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:<ul> <li>Familiar with the Revenue Cycle and Patient Financial Services business office environment </li> <li>Able to work independently and as a part of a team </li> <li>Multitasking and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously </li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li> <li>Knowledge of Care Connect (EPIC), Meditech and insurance websites. </li> <li>Able to handle confidential information with sound business discretion </li> <li>Proficient in systems and applications utilized by Hospital to conduct day-to-day operations, Microsoft Office, the Adobe product suite, etc. </li></ul> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> <br> <br>Revenue Cycle Management:<br> <ul> <li>Under direction of PFS Leadership, performs Revenue Cycle Tasks e.g. special projects, research, making active referrals to subject matter experts/decision-makers that can fulfill the requestor's requests </li> <li>Assists management with onboarding new staff to ensure equipment, access to websites, etc. </li> <li>Assists with the preparation and dissemination of Revenue Cycle Dashboards and reporting</li> <li>Assists with the preparation of audits e.g. OMIG, commercial, other government, etc. </li> <li>Assists with Kronos, staff schedules, and vacation calendars as needed. </li> <li>Assists with meeting set ups and preparation of meeting material. </li> <li>Willing to perform various office duties, as assigned. </li> <li>Ability to organize and maintain files, charts, mail, records, etc. ensuring they remain updated and are easily accessible. </li> <li>Assists with Denials Management, Claims Resubmission, and Billing functions.</li> <li>Daily oversight of all activities related to the coding department. </li> <li>Other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <br>Information Administration:<ul> <li>Utilizes office information systems for on-demand information retrieval, preparation of communications and reports. </li> <li>Manages office information, including hard copy and electronic files and data. </li> <li>Other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <br>Office Administration:<ul> <li>Create and continuously improve highly effective office systems, processes and procedures by analyzing current and anticipated office needs and providing an efficiently organized means of meeting identified needs </li> <li>Assists in internal and external communication to maximize coordination, efficiency, and effectiveness of projects and processes </li> <li>Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate action to solve basic issues.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <br>Customer Service:<ul> <li>Provides service excellence to internal and external customers, communication management practices, professionally managing customer needs and concerns, anticipating and responding to customer requests or making active referral to subject matter expert/decision-maker that can fulfill the customer's request. </li> <li>Communicates effectively in a high visibility customer service environment as a positive representative of the leader, the work group, the department and the organization. </li></ul> <br>This does not represent a complete or all-encompassing view - other duties may be assigned / required / or change to meet the business needs. An incumbent and the organization both share ownership of bringing forward & documenting any duties that become significant or substantial to be included in the MJO's.<br> <br> <strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: </strong>S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.<br> <br> <strong>PAY RANGE: </strong>$26.00 - $35.80<br> <br>The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
