Paramedic Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Paramedics to join our team in Northern New Mexico. As a Paramedic, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency medical requests, providing high-quality care and treatment to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action, utilizing progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize advanced medical skills and equipment, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance.
  • Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMS Providers.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in community programs to maintain a positive image and establish strong community relations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • New Mexico State Paramedic Certification
  • State Driver's License
  • BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
  • Driving record compliant with company policy
  • Pass the Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
