Pay rates starting at $22.26/hour
(increases based on experience)

What will I do as a Painter?

  • Paint all surfaces requiring paint, stain, or varnish.
  • Schedule all needed repairs and projects with the appropriate residents, family member, staff, or volunteer.
  • Effectively manage and purchase equipment and supplies needed to complete projects assigned.
  • Assist in purchasing by getting quotations and comparative shopping within the budget.

What is required in this position?

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical lift operation.
  • Must demonstrate a sound surface preparation and painting aptitude.
  • Ability to prepare the wall with proper finishing of wall prior to the finish coating must also be required.
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of colors and patterns.
  • Must have good finger and manual dexterity and motor coordination to use paint brushes, rollers, and ability to perform fine detailed work.
  • Must have basic understanding of stain, varnish, cleaners, and paint composition and the differences in using each appropriately.
