Cadre Support Specialist (USPSC GS-13 equiv.)

The USPSC will serve as a Specialist at the GS-13 level within the DRG Bureau’s Management and Cadre Support (MCS) Office, specifically on the Cadre Support Team. The PSC will oversee the DRG Bureau’s surge support to provide short, medium, and longer-term technical assistance and coverage to USAID overseas operating units. The Specialist will serve as the Contracting Officer Representative for an award(s) intended to provide consultant services and/or surge-support to USAID overseas operating units through an ISC contract and/or several U.S. Personal Services Contracts. This will require a sound understanding of budgeting, USAID’s field support database, contracting regulations, and strong organizational skills. The USPSC will need to have strong communication and customer service skills, as this position requires regular communication with other offices within the DRG Bureau, Management Bureau, Bureau for Human Capital and Talent Management (HCTM), USAID regional/geographic bureaus, and with USAID overseas operating units. The USPSC will also support other workstreams in the DRG/MCS portfolio, including Foreign Service National (FSN) Empowerment and coordination for the DRG Foreign Service Backstop, backstop 76 (BS76).
