Job Summary Job Summary A food service worker's primary responsibilities are to assist in the preparation and serving of school meals and to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Qualifications: 1. Previous Experience: Experience in food service. Preferred: experience in cashiering. 2. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the eighth grade, high school equivalency desired. Work Year: 3.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday with a work calendar of student instructional days plus two additional days (SY + 2), considered to be a total of ten (10) months. The first day of work in the school year is August 9, 2024, and the last day of work is June 5, 2025. Work hours tend to fall mid-morning to early afternoon. This position is considered to be a 0.4688 FTE position (46.88% of a full-time position). A six-month probationary period must be passed before a new employee becomes permanent with the District. Salary: Placement on classified salary range 15 is dependent on previous experience as a food service worker. The monthly salary, dependent on experience, is $1,331.04 to $1,698.78, which is commensurate to $16.38 to $20.91 per hour. The monthly salary is disbursed in two paychecks, on the 10th and 25th of the month, September through mid-June.
