Job Description : Operations Manager
Reports To : Company President

Weckworth Mfg., Inc.is a custom contract manufacturer of industrial sewn products servicing the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to become part of the management team. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of upper management.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Direct the production, equipment, facilities, shipping/receiving, warehousing and scheduling.
•Achieve positive production results by clearly communicating job expectations, planning, coaching, counseling, and training teams.
•Direct scheduling and workflow by monitoring steps of the production process to meet performance expectations and deadlines.
•Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with safety committee staff.
•Organize intradepartmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
•Deliver progress and production reports as requested.
•Solicit and log feedback, evaluating the data to refine processes and elevate production.
•Contribute to effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
•Along with other leaders in the upper management team, cultivate a culture of teamwork which is results oriented, customer focused, and driven to deliver quality products.
•Build, motivate, and lead manufacturing teams with a "can do" attitude through mentoring, development, and leadership. Work cross functionally ensure ongoing cohesion and continuity throughout the different departments.
Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is highly desired.
•Must have at least 10 years applicable production management experience in a manufacturing / job shop environment.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprint reading is required.
•Successful experience employing the theory of constraints.
•Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), required
•Strong communication - both verbal and written is required.
•Must demonstrate a sense of urgency, attention to detail, commitment and follow-through while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines
•Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, sound judgment and ability to adapt to a rapidly change environment.
•Experience working for a government or defense OEM contractor is a plus.

Job Type: Full Time Mon -Thurs. 6:30am - 5:00pm and Fri.6:30am - 11:30am OT Sat as needed.
