Job Description Job Description Hoover Energy Services has an opening for a Operations Manager to help expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico.
Ideal Operations Manager would have experience in the following:



  • Serve as the primary contact for current and new customers across the company.
  • Serve as the primary contact to address customer issues, and initiate a corrective action report with subsequent follow-up action items;
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage Supervisors as well as employees;
  • Manage vehicles and equipment for assigned technicians with the assistance of the Department Supervisors.
  • Insure parts are being billed out per work performed;
  • Ensure that assigned service center, equipment, and vehicles are consistently clean based on Company Expectations.
  • Meet regularly with Hoover customers to ensure that Hoover as a company meets and exceeds customer expectations and adjust as necessary;
  • Required to maintain the work is being completed on time as well as completed proficiently and correctly;
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, i.e., eight (8) to sixteen (16) hours depending on job services requirements and customer needs. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays;
  • Must maintain and account for assigned Hoover property. This includes tools, credit cards, company vehicle, cell phone, laptop, calibration equipment, and parts;
  • Required to properly prepare all necessary paperwork and documentation of service performed on a timely basis and submit same to proper office personnel for processing;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/physical demands:



  • Minimum of 5 years of previous work experience (Automation + Gas And Liquid Measurement) required and/or the combination of equivalent work experience and educational/technical training in a related field;
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Electrical and/or mechanical experience/knowledge preferred;
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos;
  • Ability to write simple correspondence;
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals;
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form;
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;
  • Must be able to safely operate company vehicles..
  • Ability to work in a team environment or alone with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to communicate verbally and in writing to other team members, as well as customers.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be able to pass a physical and drug screen including random drug screening.
  • Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and handle parts
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
