Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionDesign projects from schematic design through construction with a other lead engineersProvide necessary support as required for mechanical, HVAC (for Mechanical Engineer) and lighting, power, riser diagrams, electrical circuiting, voice/data, security, AV, and fire alarm systems (for electrical)Check shop drawings and assist during construction-Majority of responsibility will be production work leading to individual design responsibilitiesPreparation and supervision of preparation of contract documents including schematic design, design development and final construction drawings and specificationsDeliver accurate and thorough code compliant designs meeting industry standards within budget constraintsReview and carry out complex electrical technical studies and prepare high caliber reportsProficiency with construction process and constructability issuesResolve site construction issues, attend site meetings and perform site inspections during the construction phase of projectsReview internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructabilityPerform quality assurance and quality control tasks on projectsQualificationsUnited States accredited BS degree in Electrical Engineering requiredPE highly preferredExperience within practical design experience working on building systemsMust have 10+ years of post-graduate electrical engineering experience in the United StatesMust have knowledge of NEC, NFPA70, NFPA72 and Chicago Building Codes.Revit MEP highly preferredMust be local- this is a hybrid positionAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
