HOURS : 7:00AM - 7:00PM
SIGN-ON BONUS: $5,000.00
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains and uses equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body on x-ray film or fluoroscopic screen for diagnostic purposes.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Radiology
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School diploma required.
Completion of 2 year Radiology Program with Associates Degree
Experience: Radiology Clinical internship experience required. Some work experience as a radiology technologist preferred.
License/Certification: ARRT (R)

Radation Safety
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Positions x-ray equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
Uses beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
Positions patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician.
Processes exposed radiographs using film processors or computer generated methods.
Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
Determine patients' x-ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physicians.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment.
Adjusts settings or positions of medical equipment.
Prepares medical supplies or equipment for use.
Positions patients for treatment or examination.
Processes x-rays or other medical images.
Uses or cross train to use CT equipment
OTHER DUTIES
Performs other duties and special project work as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds during a scheduled work shift.
Must be able to see with corrective eye wear
Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
Able to handle emergency and/or crisis situations
May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary
Transferring, repositioning patients.
Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching for patient care functions.
Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests including random and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
