We are seeking a Behavior Consult to provide support to a caseload of participants located at the GoldStar office in Westminster Colorado.

Position Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and driven professionals to support, teach, and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences and their families. Schedules will consist of creating individualized treatment plans for your participants, direct care staff supervision, observations in the home, school, community, or GLO facility, meetings with therapists and families, and other office work and meetings.

As a Behavior Consult, you will:

  • SMALLER CASE LOAD! Oversee a caseload of up to 8 participants and their team of direct care providers.
  • Maintain a billable caseload of 25 hours per week!!
  • While working with the Clinical Manager, design and supervise individualized behavior intervention plans which include skill acquisition and replacement behavior goals for a caseload of participants; including data interpretation and adjusting interventions/programming based on individual needs.
  • Assist in intake interviews and conduct initial observations and formal assessments.
  • Write and submit progress reports bi-annually to parents and other professionals to facilitate collaboration, goal consistency and continuity of funding.
  • Conduct and analyze formal assessments to include but not limited to VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R, as needed.
  • Supervise therapists in Discrete Trial Training and Natural Environment Training teaching methods, data collection, and provide program-specific feedback.
  • Conduct parent training sessions and regular parent check-in meetings.
  • Conduct team meetings with participants behavior intervention team.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly check-in meetings with the Clinical Manager or other supervisor(s) as well as bi-monthly Behavior Consult team meetings
  • Have the capability and willingness to attend, cover and/or participate in direct sessions, as needed
  • Provide ongoing supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in applied behavior analysis or related field (psychology, special education, early childhood education/development, etc.)
  • A minimum of 2 years providing direct care using applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • A minimum of 2 years supervising cases; including but not limited to developing behavior intervention plans based on the principles of ABA.
  • Strong clinical experience - at least 1 year post-graduate ABA experience in the school, clinic, or community setting.
  • Experience conducting behavior analytic assessments such as ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, EFL, AFLS, PEAK, etc.
  • Clinical competency in applied behavior analysis methodologies including functional behavior assessments, discrete trial training, verbal behavior analysis, incidental teaching, shaping, chaining, modeling, imitation, task analyses, motivational methodologies, and reinforcement procedures.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis and ability to help clients who require physical assistance.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental differences of all ages is preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Clean (or low points) on driving record.
  • Clean background check required.
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to set and meet deadlines
  • Works collaboratively with other medical and service providers across environments (teachers, therapists, etc.)
  • Availability to work 35-40 hours per week
  • CPR Certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • Organizational and time management skills
