Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components, is seeking highly motivated, team players, possessing a continuous improvement mindset, to join our team as an Receptionist/ Office Assistant.


This is a Part Time Position 9am to 3pm Mon - Fri

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB

- Maintain a constant presence at the front desk

- Greet visitors, issue visitor badges, locate requested personnel

- Answer questions and schedule electronic meetings for visitors and applicants

- Distribute Contractor Briefing Packet per the instruction and retain sign offs

- Answer multi-line phones, answer questions and redirect calls as needed

- Operate plant wide paging system, assist with mass emails, calls or texts

- Responsible for Mail sorting– both incoming & outgoing

-Daily tracking of attendance, lates, call ins and absences

-Maintain attendance spreadsheets, and filing of doctor’s notes and attendance writes ups

- Maintain and organize personnel files and folders

- Maintaining Stock and inventory of tools, office supplies and production supplies in front office storage areas

- Unpacking boxes of supplies and stocking supply shelves

-Stocking and maintaining multiple supply lockers

-Posting and removing signage and maintaining company communication boards

- Compile packets for Orientation, Interviews, or Employee notices

- Participating in planning and supporting company events, theme days and parties

- Retrieve shippers or invoices from Shipping Dept

- Assemble various booklets, binders and packets

-Maintain required paperwork and postings in office seating

- Call backs for interviews, maintain interview tracker and calendar

- Maintain in and outgoing fax database, and voicemail

-Maintain a clean and neat workspace, lobby and conference rooms, call for maintenance / janitorial when necessary

- Support HR, Payroll and Office Staff as needed

- Misc. projects as assigned

-Any other assignment as directed by management

- Other duties as delegated by management

AUTHORITY- Receptionist

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

-High School Diploma

-Must have Professional and pleasant demeanor

-Computer literate, intermediate knowledge of MS Works Excell and PowerPoint

- Able to communicate with employee and general public

-Basic math skills

-Good communication skills

-Basic understanding of accounting

-Organizational skills, able to efficiently multitask

-Operate phone system, fax and copy machines
