As an RN Perinatal Educator, you will play a crucial role in educating and supporting expectant mothers and their families through the perinatal journey. You will facilitate childbirth and parenting classes, provide individualized education and guidance, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible pregnancy and childbirth experience for our patients.
Position Highlights:
- Location: Classes are taught at both Edward Hospital (Naperville) and Elmhurst Hospital (Elmhurst)
- Per Diem teach 1-2 classes per month, as needed
What you will need:
- IL RN License
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (BLS)
- Certification from an accredited organization such as ASPO/Lamaze, Academy of Certified Birth Educators-Birth and Beginnings Education (ACBE-BABE), International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), Prepared Childbirth Educators, Inc. (PCE) or other acceptable childbirth education organization required for instructing Childbirth classes
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license, midwife license, or doula certification, preferred
- RN experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
