Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Imaging Nuclear MED

Nuclear Medicine Technologist coordinates and performs diagnostic medical imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and medical imaging equipment. The role requires adherence to professional and departmental protocols to provide diagnostic images for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Ensures radiation safety and proper waste disposal by following Federal, State, and Hospital policies.
  • Documents daily calibrations, dose calibrator accuracy checks, and radioactive source disposal.
  • Handles radio nuclides and radiation safety procedures with care.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established procedures.
  • Performs quality control tests and documents according to Hospital policies.
  • Demonstrates adherence to CHRISTUS Health's CORE Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required.
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical Radiology setting preferred.
  • Current State Licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required.

Work Details:

  • Per Diem As Needed work schedule.
