Novato Unified School District (NUSD) has 700+ staff members who, along with the larger school community, are responsible for the education of over 7,500 students. We have eight elementary schools, including one dual-immersion, one K-8 school, two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools. Novato Unified School District is excited to find a Speech Language Pathologist with a background in Elementary and Middle School Education for open positions serving our student community at San Ramon, Pleasant Valley, Sinaloa and Rancho. The ideal applicant would be coming to us with a preliminary or clear California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or is an aspiring educator in the process of obtaining appropriate credentialing to qualify for an emergency permit. Novato is a suburb located in north Marin County, with a population of approximately 53,000. We are a close-knit community, with a number of our population being lifelong citizens. Many of our NUSD parents attended Novato schools themselves. Our community is known for its more than 3,600 acres of open space, which include a number of popular hiking and biking trails. Novato Unified's mission is to engage, inspire and empower all students, in a rapidly changing world, to realize their life goals. Openings are anticipated at the following school sites for 2024-2025 • Rancho Elementary and Sinaloa Middle School • Pleasant Valley Elementary and San Ramon Elementary New NUSD certificated staff may transfer in up to 15 years' experience, allowing for placement on Step 16 - teaching experience subject to verification of employment. Special Educators at Novato Unified School District, including Speech and Language Pathologists receive an annual $1,000 stipend. Novato Unified is only accepting applications on EDJOIN.
