As NEW PRODUCT MARKETING ANALYST you will be responsible for the functions outlined below.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
  • Play a leading role in the development and execution of the company’s new product roadmap. As an active participant of the New Product Development Team, the New Product Marketing Analyst will represent the “voice of the customer” by performing both quantitative and qualitative market research to identify and develop DD market opportunities.
  • Lead the company’s new product “Gate” process by writing and presenting new product concepts to Senior Leadership
  • This position will work very closely with the Director of Product Development & Design, Product Design Managers, and key Sales & Marketing personnel. 2
  • Use market research data to determine product opportunity, pricing and positioning
  • Develop product messaging that differentiates new products and services from others in the market
  • Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing self-lead research
  • Communicate the value of new products and services to the organization
  • Help train Sales and Marketing on communicating value proposition/positioning of new products
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our products
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new product launches
  • Assist in the creation of product content such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts
  • Gain insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage
  • Lead the development of FAB (Feature-Advantage-Benefit) matrices for new products
  • Continues learning through conferences and summits
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
  • Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
  • Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree in Marketing with 4-7 years of experience in data analytics and new product research or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Successful track record of launching new products & services within the firearms industry is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills

  • Travel requirements: 15 to 25% of the year.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day – extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
