<b>Job Details:</b> <br>SUMMARY: The expectations of this position is to lead and direct teams of pedigree complex team members and assume the responsibilities of the pedigree complex manager as required to meet production targets in order to achieve genetic progress and supply the pipeline as outlined by the pedigree complex manager. The essential functions of this position include: achieve production targets; assume complex manager duties as required; achieve a culture of Bio-Security and Animal Welfare; have and develop qualified and effective team members; achieve a culture of safety; maintain genetic purity and security and assist in the development and maintenance of operational and capital budgets. REQUIREMENTS: Experience: College degree or equivalent experience with 4 plus years of progressive experience in field of expertise or advanced degree if required with 2 plus years of progressive experience. Accountability Role: Skilled experienced professional that manages supervisory and or professional roles that impact daily operations. Monitors work quality and performance of assigned area. Responsible for the quality of results produced by others. Computer Skills: Standard skills are required. This position requires in working with Excel spreadsheets and data within several other computer applications. Supervisory: A team of five 5 plus direct salaried positions four 4 management support positions and hourly team members. Travel: Minimal domestic trips. Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites biosecurity environments showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry; must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks and birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to touch handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
