Corporate Attorney

Fortegra is looking for an attorney with prior experience counseling and advising public companies on corporate governance and federal securities laws. This position will be responsible for advising on compliance with SEC rules, reviewing the Company's SEC filings for compliance with federal securities laws, corporate governance, and providing legal support on a range of other corporate matters. Fortegra is a collaborative working environment that is focused on profitable growth. This position may be filled at the Company's headquarters in our Jacksonville FL, Washington DC or Iselin NJ offices.

Advise on federal securities laws, SEC reporting and corporate governance Assist on a wide range of other corporate legal matters, including acquisitions and corporate formation Draft contracts, negotiate amendments and prepare other corporate documents

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate required 3-8 years of legal experience State Bar Membership (any state) Public Company SEC reporting and federal securities laws experience Knowledgeable advocate who can work effectively with business leaders and manage outside counsel Experience with stock equity plans a plus, but not a requirement Experience in other corporate areas, including acquisition, preferred but not required Insurance or other Financial Services experience not required
