<p><b> This position</b><b> will mainly support the General Surgery Clinic, but will be cross-trained to other specialty clinic areas. </b></p>

<p><b>Job Summary</b></p>

<p>The Medical Assistant in the Clinic is accountable for performing duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices and competency. </p>

<p><b> </b><b>Education and/or Experience</b></p>

<ul> <li>Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma required upon hire. </li> <li>Six or more years in a healthcare setting and/or Medical Assisting</li> </ul>

<p><b>Licensure/Certification/Registration</b></p>

<ul> <li>Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.</li> <li>Must be licensed through one of the following upon hire: <ul> <li>National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). </li> <li>National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT). </li> <li>National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>

<ul> <li>Clinic hours: 8:00am-5:00pm; 64 hours every 2 weeks</li> </ul>

<p>The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. </p>
