Those receiving a passing score on both the written and hands-on mechanical skills assessment will advance to an onsite interview with the hiring team. </p> <p><br> <b>Summary:</b></p> <p> </p> <p>The West Hershey Plant of The Hershey Company has immediate openings for Industrial Mechanical Technicians to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.<br> </p> <p>Primary duties of this position are mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical installation, setup, and repair. Compensation is established on a skill-based pay system.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Required background skills and minimum qualifications shall include:</b><br> </p> <ul> <li>A minimum of three years experience in the industrial, military, or owner/operator trades environment</li> <li>The successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment</li> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D.</li> <li>Associates degree in related field or minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment of relevant military experience</li> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li> <li>Must be able to read, write, and speak English</li> <li>Must be flexible to work any shift</li> <li>Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime</li> <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States</li> <li>Basic computer skills</li> <li>Job related mechanical skills will be assessed</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><br> </p> <ul> <li>Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred</li> <li>Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred</li> <li>Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred</li> <li>Experience with Continuous Improvement methodology is preferred</li> <li>Experience with SAP Maintenance module is preferred<br> </li> </ul> <p><b>Physical Demands:</b><br> </p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs</li> <li>Regularly required to work around operating equipment, confined spaces, stand, reach, stoop, crawl, walk, climb ladders and bend<br> </li> </ul> <p><b>Working Conditions:</b><br> </p> <ul> <li>Work will be performed within a manufacturing facility</li> <li>The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to safety toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and gloves</li> <li>Wearing company issued uniforms is a requirement<br> </li> </ul> <p>#LI-CM1<br> <br> </p> </span><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjQ3MjMxLjEyNTI0QGFkcGNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
