In return, we offer the opportunity to Grow Together with ongoing opportunities for professional growth provided by a constantly changing environment, working alongside employees who value the people they work with just as much as the work they do. <br><br>Responsibilities for Internal Candidates<br><br>Arconic Inc.'s Tennessee Operations is seeking an experienced and talented Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer for our Tennessee Operations facility. <br><ul><li>The incumbent will provide engineering support and leadership of the site Crane and below-the-hook device engineering and safety programs, leadership of the Crane Inspection Crew, and engineering support to maintenance and operations beyond helping to restore flow. </li><li>The successful incumbent will also provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities. </li><li>This person will also develop, manage and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some mechanical engineering support to all manufacturing and plant areas.</li></ul><br>Qualifications for Internal Candidates<br><br><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong><br>&bull; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.<br>&bull; Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience with mechanical systems, to include overhead gantry cranes, facilities and industrial infrastructure, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.<br>&bull; Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional teams.<br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br>&bull; Minimum of 8 years' experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.<br>&bull; Minimum of 5 years' experience in equipment and component failure analysis.<br>&bull; Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience.<br>&bull; Engineering experience with cranes, hoists, rigging and below-the-hook lifting devices in heavy industrial environment.<br>&bull; Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment (rolling mills and material handling equipment preferred).<br>&bull; Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.<br>&bull; Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial systems and equipment, including cranes, lifting and material handling, pumping, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.<br>&bull; Working knowledge of crane engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specifications.<br>&bull; Strong mechanical and structural engineering skills.<br>&bull; Strong mechanical engineering, maintenance and reliability background.<br>&bull; Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.<br>&bull; Strong mechanical engineering skills.<br>&bull; Understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.<br>&bull; Strong written and oral communications skills.<br>&bull; Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
