Material Transport Handler

Job Title:  Material Transport Handler
Region or Geography:   Blawnox, PA 15238
Position Reports to:  Material Control Team Lead

Position Overview: Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately picks parts for production shop orders or customer sales orders.
• Counts weighs or measures items to compare identifying info and variety against bills, invoices or other records.
• Operates material handling equipment. Forklift to pull large palletized boxes from high locations
• Work functions include Pick face replenishment, inventory put away, and consolidation of inventory in the warehouse.
• Move materials from company locations via passenger vehicle or 26’ box truck (less than 26,000lbs).
• Follow DOT regulations on inspections, maintenance, and driver’s log.
• Can prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping.
• Performs other duties including but not limited to- Returning stock to warehouse, assisting receiving department, and general warehouse functions

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED
• Previous experience in warehouse or shipping, and experience with job duties listed above
• Comfortable operating a computer and utilizing a variety of programs
• Valid Driver’s license CDL not required with clean driving record
• Pass a D.O.T. physical
