A clinical competent Radiographer who performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and/or pacemaker procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides pre-procedural care, intraprocedural and post procedure care of patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization & interventional radiology procedures.
  • Operates Siemen’s x-ray/digital equipment (single plane & biplane) & portable c-arm
  • Assist with IABP insertion, Impella, temporary pacer insertion and emergency transfers.
  • Surgical scrub assisting physician during invasive/interventional procedures while maintaining sterile field.
  • May assist with circulating to pull needed equipment/supplies during procedure
  • Assist with sheath pulls, deployment of closure devices, radial & groin management
  • Participates in patient transport
  • Assist with inventory control
  • Participates in regular on-call coverage
  • Acquire outpatient ECGs & assist with cardiac device monitor application and report preparation
  • Assumes professional responsibility, accountability and initiative
  • Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
Required:
  • Radiologic Licensure, RTR
