<strong>Employment Solutions</strong> is partnering with an established local company to hire a <strong>Manufacturing Supervisor</strong> to work onsitein Endicott, NY. This is a<strong> direct hire</strong> position with full benefits!<br><br>We're looking for an Manufacturing Supervisor with experience in team building, scheduling, 5S, lean manufacturing, inventory control. You'll oversee and supervise the day-to-day production environment, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. <br><br>This company manufactures highly engineered products and mission-critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, Transportation and other industries.<br><br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES </strong><br><ul><li>Production Planning and Scheduling: priorities based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. Coordinate with production planners, materials managers </li><li>Team Leadership and Management: Supervise a team of production workers, operators, and technicians. Ensure team members understand their responsibilities, and performance expectations. Foster a positive work environment</li><li>Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure products meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. Implement quality control measures, inspection procedures, and process controls to monitor and maintain product quality throughout the production process </li><li>Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training</li><li>Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Implement lean manufacturing principles, process improvements, and best practices to optimize workflow, minimize waste, and maximize resource utilization. </li><li>Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance, work closely with maintenance technicians and engineers to address equipment issues. </li><li>Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Coordinate with materials management and procurement teams</li><li>Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track production metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance targets. Analyze production data, identify trends, and report performance to senior management. Implement corrective actions as needed. </li><li>Training and Development</li></ul><br><strong>MUST HAVES: </strong><br><ul><li>Education: Prefer post-secondary education; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or business administration. </li><li>Experience: Several years of experience in manufacturing or production, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role. </li><li>Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures, and best practices. Processes include dip and vacuum braze, chemical clean, paint, finishing, grinding, and shipping. </li><li>Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team of production workers. Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills are essential. </li><li>Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions or process improvements to optimize production efficiency and quality. </li><li>Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. </li><li>Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for employees. The ability to enforce safety standards, conduct safety training, and respond to safety incidents is important. </li><li>Computer Skills: Proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems (e.g., ERP, MES) for production planning, scheduling, reporting, and data analysis. </li><li>Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain. </li><li>Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds, and up to 50 pounds periodically.
