<b>Location: </b> Lake Waccamaw, NC<br> <b>Salary: </b> $35.00 USD Hourly - $40.00 USD Hourly<br> <b>Description: </b> Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer <br>This position is onsite in Lake Waccamaw, NC - MUST be local!<br>This is a W2 contract to hire role. <br> <br>The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral part of the Plant Support team consisting of Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Tool & Die. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position will organize and lead various lean initiatives, improvement projects, tooling activities, and in general support of the manufacturing/production process.<br> <br> <b>Responsibilities/daily tasks (including but not limited to):</b> <br> <br>&bull; Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering activity including leadership of projects and initiatives.<br> <br>&bull; Assist and support skilled machinists, millwrights, setting goals and objectives, scheduling, and monitoring performance.<br> <br>&bull; Lead Kaizen teams to improve processes to increase yields and reduce scrap.<br> <br>&bull; Assist with the development of methods, fixtures, and CNC programs to support machining and assembly operations.<br> <br>&bull; Facilitate new product introduction.<br> <br>&bull; Involvement with predictive maintenance.<br> <br>&bull; Stay abreast of industry trends and products.<br> <br>&bull; Purchase some repair items, MROP items and outside services.<br> <br> <b>Qualifications:</b> <br> <br>&bull; 5+ years of engineering related experience in a manufacturing environment, leadership experience a plus.<br> <br>&bull; Knowledge/experience in PLC programing and automation.<br> <br>&bull; Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting, polka-yoke, fixturing.<br> <br>&bull; Experience with creation of CAD and machine programing. We use SolidWorks and MasterCam. <br> <br>&bull; Fluency in interpreting engineering drawings<br> <br>&bull; Ability to work well with all members of the manufacturing team.<br> <br>&bull; Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills<br> <br>&bull; Proficiency with Microsoft Office software<br> <br>&bull; Ability to work in metal, forging plant environment.<br> <br>&bull; Ability to travel occasionally for training, product shows, etc. <br> <br>&bull; Proven professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire/ability to work in a team environment.<br> <br>&bull; Product Development experience desirable<br> <ul> </ul> <br> <b>Contact:</b> kmearkle@judge.com<br> <br>This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
