Managing Director, Daily Investment Operations - Hybrid Remote
at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Operations activities including portfolio administration, account setup, performance and account reconciliation, standardized reporting, and optimizing procedures to drive operational excellence. This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial training period. Position responsibilities: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability Develop strategic operational service model and cadence supporting growth and scalability Oversee and execute all daily Operational functions of account & performance reconciliation, brokerage and alternative transaction processing, account setup, system maintenance, and reporting Lead change management initiatives across the department and contribute to the implementation and enforcement of controls, procedures, processes and best practices Own vendor relationships and lead implementation of new portfolio accounting and data aggregation software Effectively allocates resources and team members for timely execution of deliverables Cross train team on operational functions to ensure redundancies and adequate coverage and resiliency Ensure that daily and ad hoc transactions and market values are entered accurately across reporting platforms Work effectively and collaboratively with data integrity team to ensure daily processes and procedures align with data integrity requirements standards Other duties and projects as assigned Requirements Essential skills and experience: 8-10 years of operations experience in wealth management/financial services. Experience at a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) preferred. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business administration Prior leadership experience required Ability to adapt to, and lead others, through a changing business and technology environment Experience with Tamarac and/or Orion preferred Deep knowledge of wealth management Operations and processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate and build/maintain relationships within direct and indirect reports Proactive character with strong ability to prioritize responsibilities and drive execution with limited supervision Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, independent, resourceful, assertive, and self-motivated Strong team player Commitment to company values Clearstead is committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from individuals from all diverse backgrounds.
