We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Manager . This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the maintenance mechanics in conjunction with operations to provide the customer with safe and reliable equipment to meet their needs. These maintenance duties are necessary for off-highway equipment, in a steel mill application. We are the world leader with a proven track record with satisfied customer steel mills across the globe. This position will be located at our Blytheville, Arkansas site . We are looking for a career-minded individual who seeks a challenging position with room for creativity and growth. Someone who can lead others, delegate work and responsibilities, work side by side with other team members, develop leadership skills in others and has a positive attitude. A qualified candidate will have excellent mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills and be able to teach hourly employees these skills as well.

Schedule: 6am-4pm Monday - Friday

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

  • Work with Operations to plan maintenance repairs necessary to provide safe, reliable equipment to meet and exceed customer's needs.
  • Must be able to schedule mechanics in a 24/7 operation.
  • Hires and manages maintenance workers.
  • Supervises maintenance workers and contractors.
  • Organizes and leads maintenance training.
  • Works safely and sets an example of safe work practices.
  • Sets the shift schedule and assignments.
  • Develops maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Orders tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Responds to maintenance requests.
  • Makes sure projects stay on schedule.
  • Leads safety inspections at worksites.
  • Performs maintenance work as needed.
  • Evaluates worksites to determine necessary maintenance work.
  • Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions.
  • Ensures the team follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of maintenance experience is required, and 5 years' management experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Mechanical or Electrical degree is preferred.
  • Must finish OSHA 30-hour training within the first month of work.
  • Drug screening and physical required.

Maintenance Manager Qualifications and Skills .

  • Demonstrates time management and organization skills.
  • Manages maintenance workers and has strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills including 480-volt 3 phase systems, 120vac and 24 vdc controls.
  • Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic knowledge and experience.
  • Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Able to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
  • Highly skilled mechanical aptitude.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Team building skills are a must.
